I doubt that her mom would go to counseling with her OR that it would be productive. More likely hurtful. We can not pretend that anyone who supports Trump in the lockstep way that her mom does would offer any solace to this strong compassionate independent-minded young woman.

Claudia is the ONLY one to decide if her natural mother is still her "mom". We need to support kids suffering as a result of some decisions their parents take not to reason to them those decisions or to reason the traditional obedience to natural causalities.
