Politicians say they’ll create jobs. But I’ve known many who feel “Give me a good education, give me free healthcare and a decent shot in this economy - I’ll create my own damn career.” People should have more than jobs; they should have real opportunity for self-actualization.

Sorry, you lost me on this one, Marianne. I'm a member of the disappearing breed of lifelong blue collar workers who have been happy to work with our hands and seek 'fulfillment' after work. I'm just sad that young people today can't earn a decent living without a degree!

What America should be asking itself is how the wealthiest country in the world permitted the birth and growth of a dysfunctional educational system that produces an abundance of dissatisfied youth and anarchists instead of happy/healthy productive citizens?
