I can’t tell you how frustrating it is as progressive to be attacked by your own party for fighting for people who need it most. Called “radical leftists” for wanting everyone to be well, healthy, whole, housed, secure, treated fairly, valued & free. WE deserve better than that.

I couldn’t agree more. Progressives have been invisiblized, even purged by the party. Many progressives feel politically homeless now. Vote for Biden, yes. But the question is “Then what?” Stay & fight, or form new party? Many living that question now.

new party from a legal standpoint, DNC/Democratic Party is a private organization, and can install whoever they want in any position they want, it can't be "taken over" by progressives

Stay and fight was the question and choice in 2016. We clearly have no place here. Time to build something new.
@SenWarren as Senate majority leader will get things done. POTUS isn’t a law maker & EO’s or statement changes on bills should not be a thing. If we dont change leadership we will get. Things done but in the same old way.
But why does anybody HAVE to vote for Biden? Objectively Trump has done nothing worse than any other Republican president (or Democrat for that matter). The crises facing the US are a culmination of decades of bad policy. 8 years of Biden/Harris will do nothing to mitigate that.

Yes, but the issue is that we had the same choice in '16. Most of us chose to vote Dem & then stay & fight. We did get some amazing progressive wins. But when we got to the general we fought harder than ever, sacrificed our time, money & more and... got screwed over even worse 😒

You know that saying "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me"? Well, most of us are at the shame on me stage with the Dnc. How many will be willing/able to yet again support/work for a party that openly insults & smears us & then STILL blames us when they lose? 😐

I’ll vote for Biden, but after that it’s a public, vocal, and committed divorce from the Democratic Party. They need to be made to know that after this vote for stopping everything from going off the cliff, we are done.
Form a new party. The moment they understand that our support is not automatic anymore, you wanna bet their tune will change?

I don’t see how a vote for Biden changes anything
