Voter suppression against Black men and women continued, particularly in the South, but that doesn’t change what the 19th amendment said. “The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.”

And Native American women weren't allowed to vote as late as 1957 in this country I feel it's important to be very clear on our history while we continue the fight against oppression A right declared yet not allowed to be practiced for over 30 years is a good place to start
