100 years ago women got the vote in America. Well, I say women got the vote, it was actually just white women. If we’re forgetting those women who we’re deliberately excluded in the 19th Amendment when we celebrate this day, we are continuing to exclude them even today.
Today is the 100 year anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment giving American women the right to vote. Women were egregiously oppressed before then, and the vote gave them their first big way to change that.facebook.com/207697880579/po…

No it did not. Voter suppression against Black men as well as women continued however, particularly in the South, and continued until the Voting Rights Act in 1965.
