You got it Marianne. They wear diversity like a fashion (like the kente cloth photo). They love black people and other minorities when it's election time, but when it matters they maintain the status quo.

You know better than any that their goal has never been and never will be to end “racism”. It is one of their most effective political weapons so they will never relinquish it. Appeal to @realDonaldTrump for a position in his second term cabinet. If not 2nd then 3rd term cabinet

The problem isn't systemic racism, but authoritarianism and class warfare. Race is being way overplayed! George Floyd (rip) was not a victim of racism. It was simply police brutality and we need to change this narrative imo!

Cool your jets, @marwilliamson, it was the first night. So they didn't immediately crash tackle and solve centuries of systemic racism straight out of gates. It's like buying one of your books and getting mad because the answer wasn't on page 1.

They did address racism. In the most meaningful way ... by talking about it and recognizing it’s reality and appealing to people’s better angels. The sad truth is voters don’t pay attention to policy. They say they do. But in truth they don’t.

Marianne...thank you. For things you don't even know about and for the places you have shown up in my Black life. It's been almost 25 years since I "discovered" you. Thank you for your honesty.
