Watching the #DemConvention. It’s so good to see so many diverse people coming together addressing racism and the promise of America. There is a sweetness and kindliness about this production.

No I’m sorry but they did not address racism. They showed a lot of beautiful pictures of POC and made references to BLM, but there was not one mention of an actual policy to help end systemic racism. It’s like binge watching a Marriott commercial.

I’m curious how you believe they should do that? In this type of forum (convention)? It seems to me a bit like going to marriage counseling without your partner. Great for you to work on your own issues, but less effective for the goal of working together to save the marriage.

I agree. They don't care. They like to use black faces and the tragedy of the African-American experience to look diverse and elevate the party, but do nothing specifically to end anti-black racism or to close the wealth gap for the African-American community.
