1/ When all of this is over - when we get the criminal out of the White House - we will begin a new conversation about this country, what it means to us and what it should mean for the world.

2/ Having come so close to the cliff, nearly losing something we had taken for granted was an eternal guarantee, we will be filled with a spirit of humility and thanksgiving that will reinvent the United States.

3/ We’ll have been humbled, which we desperately need; we’ll have been chastened, which we deserve to be; & our attitudes will be readjusted from ambition to inspiration, from goals of profit to goals of goodness. As profound as our descent, so profound will be our transformation

Don’t exptect to get anyone out of the White House unless Joe Biden does a 180 & makes some major concessions. Many could care less about that trainwreck, which is why his polling is so disastrous despite Trump’s abhorrent COVID response & fascist coup attempt.

Let’s hope so. Other countries are not innocent, but the US has waged more wars, stolen from more nations, annhialated more innocents, poisoned more of the planet & destroyed more cultures than any nation on earth ever. Time for a little sit down & a quiet ponder

No, unfortunately you are wrong. If Trump loses and Biden wins, the people you think will have this conversation will just go out to brunch and forget about all the nation's and world's problems. History shows us this to be the case.

The neo liberal wing of the Democrats will be too busy with brunch to build a decent society.

I love it how people think we’ll all come back together as soon as thier political party takes power. You guys call the other party criminals and thier supporters “deplorable.” When exactly do you think they’re going to join you in any peaceful or meaningful way after that?
