The stats aren’t there to support what you are saying, Marianne. This is divisive fear mongering.
At what point do we admit to ourselves that only an insane society risks massive loss of life among its children in order to procure the ability to risk massive loss of life among their parents in order to avoid massive losses of money among those who don’t care about either one?

There ARE no stats about a situation that hasn’t occurred yet; that’s the point. We can’t analyze data of kids becoming a massive petri dish of infection cuz til now we haven’t done anything that stupid. Only similarity a bunch of college kids at the beach & that did not go well.

This is not exactly true. Schools have been shut down but childcare facilities have been open. We've had no such stories from them. And I don't recall anything significant coming out of the college kids being at the beach, but I would have to look. We need data. Not feelings.

You’re not aware that the crowded beaches in Florida during Spring break became a super spreader? Then you haven’t been looking at the data!

What I don't see is an increased death rate. Remember, we were never going to eliminate this. The goal was always to "flatten the curve". We MUST continue to live. The health-compromised and elderly should take precautions. There must be a balance between reason and fear.
