Using economic rather than humanitarian principles to organize human society has brought us to where we are. It’s important for all of us to remember that, because on the other side of this we should commit to never making that mistake again.

This is a false dichotomy. Economic principals are humanitarian in nature. People trade and barter goods and services for their mutual benefit.

Many humanistic psychologists like Maslow and Rogers theorized/ researched a better way to priotize human needs over materialism and greed. Maslow showed we need to fulfill basic human needs so people can reach their full potential. Rogers used empathy to foster peace & harmony.
