Sending children back to school before we have Covid under control is a collective form of child abuse.

And that's if you aren't evicted. So many are on the verge of losing their homes, whether they rent or pay a mortgage. Where can they even keep their kids if they haven't a home? Is there anyone safe if you're not in the 1%?

What I don't understand why close the schools when the daycares have been open the entire time through the pandemic.

I would not send mine if I had school age kids they would stay home some how.

Yes. I totally agree. It鈥檚 a mere nightmare for all the parents. Thinking of the future you cannot play with their lives.

Very few children catch covid. In the meantime kids are experiencing high anxiety levels, increased drug use, increased suicides, and increased acts of violence. Not letting get back to school is far less dangerous. It almost exclusively kills old people, so keep them at home.

Absolutely. And discontinuing unemployment benefits for the families of those children who will be forced to send their children to school to go back to work too soon is also child abuse. But let鈥檚 let billionaires who genuinely don鈥檛 care make these decisions for us.

ENFJs... not known for their unassailable logic.

It's also going to make the pandemic last longer so more high-risk people (poor, old, disabled, bipoc) die. I feel completely abandoned by a country that has decided the majority of us, even children, are completely expendable for the economy.

I'd use stronger language. Class-genocide, comes to mind.
