So what’s it going to do to a child’s “mental health” for the rest of their life to realize they brought Covid home from school and it killed a parent or a grandparent or both? #DontBuyIt

I totally support you in doing whatever your gut tells you to do. (If it were me I would not send my child to school in that situation)

Fearmongering does not help!

Is it “fear-mongering” to yell “Fire!” if in fact the house is burning down?

We-the American people-must rise up and make damn sure it doesn’t happen! NOT ON OUR WATCH!

Same thing it does when he brings home the flu, ecoli or other sickness. We have to learn to be safe and try to contain it rather than pretending we can just hide from it forever

Think about all those kids in low income areas not getting food, or the lower rate in reports of child abuse because they’re locked in with their abuser w/o a witness, or the kids w/o equipment to do remote learning who will fall drastically behind their peers.

What about the higher rate of suicide currently that’s hits middle/high school aged children. Or the possibility of this putting them and thier single mom living out of a car now because mom lost her job due to lack of childcare. Yeah it’s not as simple as all that Marianne.
