1/Re-opening schools before we have the virus under control is immoral and insane. We’re exposing American families to danger for no other reason than to serve the sacred cow of an economy that doesn’t really work for them anyway. #SupportKidsAndTeachers

2/ I realize many parents need their children to go back to school so that they can get back to work, but that’s due to an economic desperation they shouldn’t be experiencing. Every American should receive $2k/mo. for as long as the pandemic lasts, much like every other democracy

Other countries are reopening schools and finding success, most likely the virus will burn itself out by October. news.weill.cornell.edu/news/…

The countries that have opened their schools successfully are countries that had the virus under control. There is no sign that ours will be under control by September or even October.

The virus is gaining steam around the world, even Germany is shutting things down again. France is fining people for not wearing a mask. Sweden is really the only country who did it right. This is just kinda something unfortunately we have to go through, hide the at risk.

No that was U.K. they attempted to do what Sweden did and turned back. I mean it absolutely sucks that we have to go through this, but the only real way to stop it is herd immunity. Hide the at risk and the rest of us need to go through it. newsweek.com/sweden-which-ne…
