1/Re-opening schools before we have the virus under control is immoral and insane. We’re exposing American families to danger for no other reason than to serve the sacred cow of an economy that doesn’t really work for them anyway. #SupportKidsAndTeachers

2/ I realize many parents need their children to go back to school so that they can get back to work, but that’s due to an economic desperation they shouldn’t be experiencing. Every American should receive $2k/mo. for as long as the pandemic lasts, much like every other democracy

Marianne, $4k doesn’t cover living expenses (mortgage, car, food etc) for a family of 6 in California (mine). You are well intentioned but it’s just not realistic for many.
