Replying to @AndrewYang
Before Reagan became president, they were. Deregulation in order to increase corporate profits was an organizing principle of Reaganomics; to let the market do its thing without putting ethical or moral considerations first. Corporate profits before social good. And here we are.

Actually in 85 under Reagan the rules got stricter, then relaxed under Clinton in 96. m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_5…

Not Reagan’s fault. The FDA permitted the advertising of prescriptions drug on TV in 1997. That was during the Clinton admin. He did not put a stop to it. For that matter neither did George W or Obama. I thought there’s an L and R wing nope only one wing. Both parties are bad.

This convo between two intelligent, compassionate humans reminds me that timing is everything. If primary season were today instead of 6 months ago, you 2 would be the dream presidential ticket! Whether Yang/Williamson or Williamson/Yang, you have the energies and ideas we need!

If you watch Wheel of Fortune with your elderly parents 80% of the ads are some chemical concoctions promising to heal the world.

Yes. I expect an advance in this area in general, not just the regulations the whole thing, regardless of the party or the rule and whatnot.
Why is it a social good to stop individuals from finding out about medications? Personally, I'd like to be informed beyond what my doctor might tell me. As an adult, I can sort the information out. Caveat emptor. Regulation treats consumers like children.

I actually remember the 1st time I saw a tv advert for Rx. I was like, oh right, I'm supposed to tell my doctor which medicine I need. Now I see the bigger picture. It's hush money paid to the MSM so they'll keep quiet about their diabolical ways.

Otherwise known as Neo-Liberalism. A made up ideology. Implemented on purpose.
In general it's uncontrolled corporate greed. And that's why finally there are creatures in the White House that openly and outwardly take advantage of that "ideal."

Reaganomics exploded the national debt and opened the door to foreign economic influence. This snowball never stopped (though Bill Clinton slowed it down).
