When pols say schools need to reopen “for the mental health” of our kids their hypocrisy is on full display. If they cared about kids’ mental health they would have done something years ago to diminish anxiety that every child feels with school shootings in the back of their mind

Chicago is literally dying to hear your solutions. The teachers are the highest paid public school teachers in the nation and nearly 1/3 of the budget is paying retired ones, the clients of their union, so “spend more!” has been tried, literally again, to death. Tick tock.

They are being traumatized by these drills, not by fear of being shot. google.com/amp/s/amp.theguar…
I can count the politicians who care about any of us on one hand, when it's not clenched in a fist with anger over the rest of them who don't.

Yes... and that point aside, they can't even protect kids from the trauma, sadness, and embarrassment they suffer when they can't afford a school lunch, requiring debt payments to be made before they can have a meal at school. Genuinely psychopathic.

Thank you. Sooo obvious no one mentions it. There would not be childhood hunger with free or unpaid school lunch shaming...and we could go on. @edvotes
