When pols say schools need to reopen “for the mental health” of our kids their hypocrisy is on full display. If they cared about kids’ mental health they would have done something years ago to diminish anxiety that every child feels with school shootings in the back of their mind

They are going to need mental health support when they return, especially those that lost family members or homes. Very few schools have counselors & when they do, caseloads too high. Congress not providing any $$ to schools so they will not get COVID safety or mental health
If you understood kids mental health you would know the attendance issue is WAAAY bigger. Will call this "ignorance on full display".

Right? And to return "to normal". What's normal when desks are 6 feet apart, plastic partitions, wearing a mask all day and noticing classmates haven't returned from being sick. There are not enough mental health professionals to deal with what's coming.

Anxiety in Children happens because of many factors, usually firstly home environment.then schools. So both need to be addressed . Children are precious and we are failing to protect them yet we suffocate them too with to much info. Kids aint getting to be kids

If a child infects a parent or a grand parent ... what will that do for their mental health?
