It’s an obvious question, but why aren’t the mayor of Portland and the governor of Oregon having a high-level televised meeting with social justice and Black leaders, making it a kind of statewide zoom Town Hall? It’s clearly not enough anymore to just say “We need to do better.”

Because they know that most the protesters are just troublemakers who will complain no matter what they do for them. The leaders are not smart enough to really understand the issues.

Because people thought that voting for a democrat was all that they needed to do to elect strong, principled leaders for way too long. The fact that so much systemic racism and incompetence is happening in Dem controlled states shows us it is time to replace all of them.
