I don’t get a sense that the political establishment on either left or right has a clue the volcano that is beginning to erupt in this country.

They know, they just don't care. They've all prepared for a quick exit. I have ZERO doubt. Will it backfire? Is it a false sense of security? Maybe but they have confidence they will personally be okay, every man for themselves. Do not see how we are all irrevocably connected.
