I think they know. They're just hoping to prolong the eruption during their lifetime, leaving it for their children and grandchildren. I've come to the conclusion that we should never underestimate the elites' selfishness.

Their money let's them live in a different world and different country. They don't know anyone who is struggling. Their kids and grandkids go to Harvard and Princeton. They have all the health care they want. They live in palaces and have servants who do their food shopping.

There is no left, and that’s precisely the problem. The left has been saying this for years. It was the premise for Bernie’s entire platform.
