This is how I feel. We are setting children up for a lifetime of trauma if they go to school, then transmit Covid to a parent or grandparent who dies because of it. Call your Congresspeople and senators 202-224-3121. I fear a terrible wave is coming our way, tho I hope I’m wrong.

Yesterday, my student’s father died of Covid. Her dad had quarantined since the beginning. My student was asymptomatic. She infected him. That child will never get over the fact that she was the cause of his death. This will be the norm if they open schools reopen.

Start shouting, even tho you might be wrong? 🧐 I haven't researched this. But the people I know of who have seem to think there are lots of good reasons for younger kids to go back to school. Foremost among them is that this virus does not seem to travel well among children..
