This is how I feel. We are setting children up for a lifetime of trauma if they go to school, then transmit Covid to a parent or grandparent who dies because of it. Call your Congresspeople and senators 202-224-3121. I fear a terrible wave is coming our way, tho I hope I’m wrong.

Yesterday, my student’s father died of Covid. Her dad had quarantined since the beginning. My student was asymptomatic. She infected him. That child will never get over the fact that she was the cause of his death. This will be the norm if they open schools reopen.

Oh no it’s not. “Mommy am I going to die?” is not a question a parent wants to hear every morning.

Homeschooling for the 2020-2021 school year does not have to be traumatic. Most states already have homeschooling protocols in place; let's use them for everyone instead of for just a few students. This can be smooth and easy.

I’m sorry but what child would even say that unless they listen to people instilling fear in them? Not a good approach regardless! My kids are not afraid of a virus with a 99.96% survival and really only those vulnerable are at risk...kids are NOT .
