This is how I feel. We are setting children up for a lifetime of trauma if they go to school, then transmit Covid to a parent or grandparent who dies because of it. Call your Congresspeople and senators 202-224-3121. I fear a terrible wave is coming our way, tho I hope I’m wrong.

Yesterday, my student’s father died of Covid. Her dad had quarantined since the beginning. My student was asymptomatic. She infected him. That child will never get over the fact that she was the cause of his death. This will be the norm if they open schools reopen.

We also don't know the long term health affects COVID19 will have on children. We don't know the impact on all their organs. Look how long it took to connect Shingles with chicken pox.

Not one ounce of science says kids should not got back to school. Not one child in the world has passed the virus on to a teacher. We’ve gone absolutely nuts over COVID with a 99.7% survival rate. Insane!!!

This is an accident waiting to happen on a national scale in the next month or so. Without reliable national leadership. Scary for our children, their family and teachers.

agree agree agree. Very worrisome. Children should not be put in this position. Stakes are far too high...

There's no easy solution to this issue. 10s of millions of women can't leave home to go to back to work because their kids are at home yet many women are scared to send their kids back to school and bring back a potentially fatal disease back home. Its a lose-lose for women.

For an infection that has an over 90% survival rate, & anecdotes being touted as evidence, this smacks of blaming children for parents divorce. Bad form! thetimes.co.uk/edition/scotl…
