This is how I feel. We are setting children up for a lifetime of trauma if they go to school, then transmit Covid to a parent or grandparent who dies because of it. Call your Congresspeople and senators 202-224-3121. I fear a terrible wave is coming our way, tho I hope I’m wrong.

Yesterday, my student’s father died of Covid. Her dad had quarantined since the beginning. My student was asymptomatic. She infected him. That child will never get over the fact that she was the cause of his death. This will be the norm if they open schools reopen.

You’re not wrong. I see it too. 😢

The thing about education is that we don't properly educate them to begin with. So the notion that all children must return to school is really for a different reason. That people can return to work so stockholders can return to business as usual. That's the true crime.

Are schools open yet? Did the "student" contract #WuhanFlu at school from another "student"?
Replying to @marwilliamson
Exactly. They are touting socialization is good for kids. But students will be 6 feet apart, masked, lesson on computers at school to reduce spread. This will increase the fear. Not healthy physically or emotionally. Stay home.

By opening the schools ... they will be repeating this outcome again and again ... how would you like to be a young child ... carrying the burden ... of being responsible ... for your father's death!

Tell that to @BetsyDeVosED who says kids don’t get COVID-19, so they can’t spread COVID-19🥴
