Forces of brute force brought tear gas & rubber bullets & pepper spray; the people of Portland brought their bodies, their conviction & their courage. Last night they gathered in communal celebration with chants and commemoration and drum circles. Soul force is a real thing.
Calling some one or some thing "Communist" is not in itself a bad thing. Communism is just a economic/political system where the "people" control the government and the government owns the methods of production. The key is the people controlling the government part.
