Being an anarchist is not actually illegal. Being an agitator is not actually illegal. Trying to use either one of those characterization as a reason for denying people their rights - THAT is what’s illegal.

Of course it is. But that’s not what thousands of people in the streets of Portland are doing. They are there because they want the feds to go home, to get out of their town. The feds have done more to incite violence than to quell it.

When the feds leave, the protesters will go home. Anyone who wants to cause a problem at that point should be dealt with by the local police. If the local or state government wants help from the feds, they can then ask for it. That’s how our system works.
