Violence is never a good thing, but protests are often a good thing. Our founders protected the right to protest for good reason. Treating peaceful protesters as though they are rioters undermines a sacred first principle of our freedom. pbs.org/newshour/show/portla…

This is just wrong to resort to violence against peaceful protesters, who is in charge of these officers bad behavior. Someone is going to get killed by one of these tigger happy idiot sooner or later.

"Protests" do NOT happen after midnight.. these are riots and anyone who cant see is lying. Burning buildings and cars, smashing windows, beating people isnt protesting. What are they protesting? Nothing just out to throw bottles at police and create chaos to undermine Trump.

The peaceful protestors need to call out the violent rioters. I’m telling you, I am on the fence vote wise and this looks bad for the democrats. I’ve been to many peaceful protests and Portland’s have been awful for the dems image.

I spent the weekend inside the Portland federal courthouse w/ the US Marshals. Mortars were being fired off repeatedly, fireworks & flares shot into the lobby, frozen bottles, concrete, cans & bouncy balls regularly whizzed over the fence at high speeds. apnews.com/1dd1bb39093a3691f…
