1) We're in the middle of what's essentially an authoritarian takeover of the United States. Democratic Party leadership has completely underperformed, mounting an ineffective opposition to Trump's illegal behavior - even now doing as much to acquiesce as to oppose it.

3) At this point it's a very good idea for prayerful people to pray, meditators to meditate & all well-intentioned Americans to follow your heart, stay informed, summon courage & stand up for our democracy. Vote Blue on Nov. 3 as though your life depended on it, because it might.

Marianne, you disparage Democrats yet say "vote blue". Dems were powerless until 2019, when the House turned blue. I will agree that we have failed on some fronts, but with divided government there are few options for success. And, yes, Vote Blue in November can change that.
