The “violent crime” that federal agents are supposedly arriving to quell has killed a tiny fraction of the people that coronavirus has. Why not attack that instead? Federal agents arriving in these cities is not quelling violence; it is creating it.

It's a feature, not a bug. The purpose of the federal agents is to escalate violence, and promulgate a narrative of violence. This allows Trump to call for totalitarian measures with some legitimacy. He'll also cite this when trying to suspend the election.

Chicago needs your insight! Over 2000 shootings and nearly 400 dead so far this year. No one here had any idea federal agents were to blame. Can you also tell us how we got bankrupt? Everyone here thinks it was corrupt overspending, but maybe we got this wrong, too.
