We don't need to know how a new society might look. We can start with how we want it to feel.

We need an international government which can properly organize and manage problems like climate change, immigration and other transnational issues.

I was thinking about this just yesterday. We need a new shared vision as a society. A new "Tomorrowland" to work towards. Sure, we haven't had a First Contact event of cinematic proportions, but Star Trek had a pretty good societal vision to work towards.

At some point you're going to have to realize that what is beautiful and good to one could be the opposite of what's beautiful and good to another. The right and left have very fundamental differences in values and lifestyle.
