I'm probably in the minority of my Twitter following here but I think Schumer would have a very good chance of winning this one. He's not Joe Crowley or Eliot Engel. He can fight a primary.
.@AOC should primary Chuck Schumer in 2022. Pass it on.

She could 100 percent do it to Gillibrand. If I were her I'd just announce in 2023. 50/50 chance Gillibrand doesn't even fight it out

Taking on another woman wouldn’t be cool. And so much is changing and is going to change over the next 2 years that we can’t even imagine what kinds of possibilities are going to open up. A fundamental earthquake is happening now and things aren’t going to be the same.

Would you say it was "uncool" for Bernie to primary the woman vying to be the first female POTUS? AOC is much more of a movement leftist than Gillibrand

Taking on other women is good and fine when you have better politics than they do. That said, as far as senators go Gillibrand is pretty decent.

💯 To that I'd add: Gillibrand serves the state well, has deep ties in both Manhattan & Albany, has built relationships in Buffalo, Syracuse, Rochester, and the Hudson Valley, and has been to a lot of County/State Fairs. She'll stay in statewide office as long as she wishes.

One could argue that Jen Perelman shouldn't primary a fellow woman, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a long term congresswoman. Of course I don't subscribe to this theory as ideologically they're worlds apart (as a member of the hoi polloi Perelman is a better rep for me).
