1/ When you tweet or post in opposition to what’s going on, don’t be overwhelmed by the barrage of trolls that come at you. Wherever they’re from, it’s a deliberate attempt to create so much fatigue that you’ll acquiesce. This isn’t a moment to care what other people think of you

2/ If someone calls you an “alarmist,” ask them how bad they think it has to get before it’s time to sound the alarm. And if they tell you you’re being “negative,” tell them there’s nothing negative about yelling “Fire!” if in fact the house is burning down.

Amen on not caring what people think about you. Their thoughts are their business anyway. If folks want to voice their opinion, no matter how much they agree or disagree...they have the right. Key is to keep staying true to the truth inside of ourselves and not get baited by fear

I don't feel overwhelmed by trolls bc I know what to expect and I can block or ignore them. But I am overwhelmed when I see friends posting alt-right propaganda. I'm surprised and disgusted that so many people think police brutality and fascism are ok.
