Most of the TV news media is essentially complicit at this point, treating federal troop presence in American cities like just another new story and continuing wall-to-wall coverage of the coronavirus. It should be the other way around.

What exactly is so important in the federal buildings that they need to be burned down? What is systemically racist about a federal courthouse? The Trump administration is not actually controlling the cities. Just the federal property. This seems uncontroversial.
