What is any of this achieving? How are these troops “fighting crime?” The biggest crime, at least ethically, is the fact that they’re even there.

I'm curious if you were Portland's mayor or Oregons governor what would you do about the violence? I would have an actual uniformed police presence and maybe as back up the national guard waiting in the wings. As governor or mayor I'd be at the protests every day.

All I see is a large crowd of Narcist most with mental health issues. You could give in to every demand they have a a month from now they would be crying again. Our world has become to easy that people are now making up struggles where there are none.
