What is any of this achieving? How are these troops “fighting crime?” The biggest crime, at least ethically, is the fact that they’re even there.

The protesters are not scared because federal LEOs are not attacking the protest. federal LEOs are just protecting federal property and only responding to breaches and physical attacks on federal property. Only going after federal criminals. The states have yet to ask for more.

Fighting crime? It seems that federal agents protecting federal property because the state is failing to do so, seems like appropriate use of power. Am I missing something?

The troops are protecting federal property which is paid for by my tax dollars. Portland is a disgusting mess of a city now. I lived there in the 80's and it was once a beautiful and fun city. It is ruined thanks to the "peaceful protests".

You've got one if the highest death rates on earth for Covid and are doing this? The rest of the world is just gobsmacked by America's lack of common sense and consideration for your healthcare workers.

They are not trying to fight crime. They are giving a TV narrative to the president and his supporters so they can continue to say there is violence in our cities because of those on the left. Trump's new self-created reality show.

What are your thoughts on the selfish and willfully negligent spreading of Covid in these mass protests? These people are elbow to elbow screaming and chanting with their masks on their chin
