Today is day 470 without a Senate-confirmed Secretary of Homeland Security. There has *never* been a longer vacancy in *any* Cabinet position. And there hasn't even been a nominee at any point during that time—even though the President's party controls the Senate. That's nuts.

The problem is, they don’t care. We can scream all we want to about how something is illegal or unconstitutional, but what we’ve learned over the last 3 years is that it doesn’t matter too much. They’ve purged govt of most of the people who’d even begin to hold them accountable.
