I ask myself several times a day if we could possibly be overreacting, if we’re mistaken to so vigorously and passionately reject the presence of those troops in American cities. But the answer comes back to me loud and clear: this is the line they must not be allowed to cross.

I think the reason you do that is because we are all in shocked disbelief about what this person is doing to the foundations of this democracy. Some of those, surely, do need to come down, but hacking through willy-nilly affects millions of people he has no relevance with.
