I ask myself several times a day if we could possibly be overreacting, if we’re mistaken to so vigorously and passionately reject the presence of those troops in American cities. But the answer comes back to me loud and clear: this is the line they must not be allowed to cross.

The citizens of Portland do not call what is happening there “sustained chaos.” And it is up to the governmental and law-enforcement leaders of Oregon to handle this. The president is not responding to chaos; the president is causing chaos.

So what would you do about this as commander-in-chief, Marianne?
Rioters carrying shields rush back to the Portland federal courthouse after law enforcement return inside. Rioters cheer and celebrate, claiming it to be a battle victory. #PortlandRiots #antifa
