tonight at a Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee fundraiser, Obama said he's worried young activists have lost faith in voting and politics because of progress that has been made -- but that John Lewis is an example of why elected politics is important

Replying to @IsaacDovere
I see it differently. I think they lost faith because even when we had a Democratic president for 8 years wealth inequality kept getting worse, a bailout during the economic crisis went mainly to corporations, and the corporatist mythos continued to prevail.

That president (Obama) had a super majority for some of those years as well, and did not take advantage of it.

He’ll never admit that his “legacy” is one of failure.

Thank you for saying it!!!!

And then Obama himself "spoke up when Bernie was running away with it", as he promised to do, and killed off any semblance of Democracy in his own party. Fuck him all the way to Hell.

And it still continues. And yet somehow you believe that Biden will be a more competent choice.. All I hear is double mindedness which is unstable in everything..

Obama had an opportunity to actually be the most progressive president since FDR, but was naive and not up to the challenge. He followed terrible advice, got crushed in midterms, and accomplished nothing. Biden will fall short, and do little other than enriching the same donors.

what have you done for america besides telling people to heal themselves using crystals?

And he failed as President to pursue the systemic corruption that dogs us even today. He could have been a great President but he threw out his legacy.

Are they oblivious to this on purpose or what? I’m tired of the gaslighting from these people.

Thank you again for your in-touch political voice.
