1/ If riots or any other type of emergency is going on in a state, a governor can ask for federal help. If they don’t, it’s because they don’t believe the situation warrants it.

If that’s the case they should reach out to the Governor & mayor and ask if there’s something they could do to help or whether they felt the local police had the situation under control. We need to protect our Constitution more than we need to protect the façade of a building.

Marianne, those are people's livlihoods, not just a building facades. If you spent more time watching the videos of the rioting, night after night, you may be more empathetic to the residents that have been abandoned by the Mayor & Governor. Please, watch these videos.
