It cannot be said too many times: The American people have the right to protest. People gathering on a street is not a riot. The destruction of federal property was minimal compared to violence being perpetrated on citizens by federal agents. US cities are not occupied territory.

I think you are not looking clearly at what happened in Pirtland or other cities. You have it backwards.

I wouldn't be surprised to find the "destruction of federal property" was perpetrated by non-movement infiltrators. Too many precedents in history, where organized agitators created 'justification' for use of para-militaries.

"peaceably assemble" The First Amendment does not provide the right to conduct an assembly at which there is a clear and present danger of riot, disorder, or interference with traffic on public streets, or other immediate threat to public safety or order

You would never know this from watching Fox News or seeing fox.com headlines. They literally make it seem like our city streets are burning and occupied by feds for good reason. It is a shocking and untrue narrative that many watchers completely believe.

Disagree. The burning and looting of American cities and loss of thousands of private businesses is unacceptable

I support the efforts by the federal government to quell the violence.

Trump was a protest. Response of the establishment = Biden. Will Trump be a protest again? People in the streets and Trump voters both are fed up with the establishment, placating career politicians and bureaucrats in office for decades with nothing to show for it. Serenity now!
