I would like to hear one - even one - establishment politician apologize for what they have done to this country. I hope some are doing some serious soul-searching about now. How ironic that we have to look for so much of the solution to those who created so much of the problem.

I remember during the Dem debates the moderator asked candidates what they got wrong, and only the women admitted to anything. All the men couldn’t admit to any error ever. Sad to think apologizing is a sign of weakness.

Yes. Equally at fault are all liberal democratic voters such as myself and most of my friends & family who did not raise alarms or take action over the past 40 years & merely voiced concerns in the face of the destruction of social justice & democracy by a thousand small cuts.

Thanks for all you do Marianne. I think you hit the nail on the head with the term ‘soul-searching’. While maybe paying lip-service to the idea of soul, the ability to pay attention to its promptings requires a willingness to surrender. Dangerous stuff!!

You and I will NEVER here the current leadership admit to one single thing they have done wrong. They have learned NEVER to do that because it will be used against them over and over. It is the spectacle we have made of our political system that people cannot be themselves.

I am furious how they think that fighting about sending us 1,200.00 for one more time is supposed to hold us through until they control this pandemic. It's an insult and a disgraceful thing to do to us. Thousands have died and everyday, more are dying and my life is worth more.
