I will vote for Joe Biden and I want desperately for him to win. But for establishment Democrats to talk as though that will fix everything or as though Dems haven’t enabled the emergence of this horrifying authoritarian wave, will neither solve the problem nor even help him win.

Hate to break it up to you, those establishment dem's will only read and be content with your first statement. The rest to them is just blah, blah...they will not wake up or change until they are rooted out and a new generation of humane and compassionate people are in power.

Correct. This is a first step. Unfortunately Democrats are historically too focused on the president fixing everything. And reform and fixes will need to come from Congress.

Marianne I get that and I agree to a certain extent. All the Dems want to do is win ... get the “W.” The second part of your post is really the meat of it. You can’t solve problems with the same consciousness that created them.

If you live in a solid blue or red state I highly suggest voting green. I believe you live in Iowa though which is a swing state iirc so I understand

After reading comments, I have one thing to say: "Ranked choice voting." That means we, the people, can bypass party domination of candidate choices without guaranteed losing to the worst choices.
