Tragic events are what bring people back to what is real. To bring people back from a diversion from reality on a collective conscience level. Look at all reality shows, the escapism, the cancel culture. How many examples of delusion vs reality based thinking.

I expected a catastrophe. What I didn’t expect was for our government to fail us so spectacularly. Democrats there is no “going back to normal”. We have to move forward to a true Democracy and have the humility to learn from our mistakes.
