2/ If we actually think American children are so abused, so mentally or physically endangered at home as to make it worth the catastrophic risk of re-opening schools too soon, then shouldn’t that itself be seen as a humanitarian emergency?

The only reason parent’s ability to provide food and shelter is at risk is because our government has not been willing to give #directcashrelief to its people.

I don’t think a one time $1200 payout is putting us anywhere near the risk of “just printing money,” especially when we’re giving hundreds of billions of $ in corporate bail outs. And no, we are not doing anything near everything that can reasonably be done.
