1/ The head of the CDC said it poses more of a public health risk for children to stay home than it is to reopen schools. In what way? Could we take a moment to consider what that means?

2/ If we actually think American children are so abused, so mentally or physically endangered at home as to make it worth the catastrophic risk of re-opening schools too soon, then shouldn’t that itself be seen as a humanitarian emergency?

3/ There are so many millions of chronically traumatized children in America that they're literally at risk just being home. But instead of an all-out effort to ameliorate those conditions, we use it as an excuse to endanger them further by unsafely sending them back to school.

I’m a substitute teacher in Hawaii. Here they are planning to keep kids isolated in plexiglass barriers and eliminate their recess, lunch with friends, PE, assemblies and all other socialization from them. So what’s the social benefit of being there?

Parents are asked to sign death waivers in some Florida counties and districts included in the back to school packets. Parents are asked to make some pretty heavy decisions. Also, I just heard thirty percent of Florida children test positve for Covid.

Libs only ignore science and the CDC when it doesn't fit their agenda. Of course children should be in class on time. They have missed enough. If Trump wasn't POTUS this wouldn't be controversial and everyone would be working for it too. Selfish AF!

WHAT IS THE DEFINITION OF HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS? Does educational gathering with hundreds of other children for 7 hours- in close quarters-5 days a week and returning home to multiple family members contain the virus or spread the virus?

I think we cal all safely agree that the CDC; as with the rest of the US Government has been suborned by the Trump Corporation to serve his personal interests.

Not adding up at all. Aren’t we all still more or less being encouraged to stay home? And weren’t children much less likely to contract Covid? I’m honestly exhausted from the ongoing conflicting information and guidelines. I understand this is a fluid situation but....sheesh.

Marianne, you always cut to the heart of problems by speaking truth. I worry so much about the future of our country. We seem to be in a race to the bottom 😔

This will spread COVID-19 even further, back to the homes and communities creating an even more infected population. That is the WH plan to suppress voting
