Agreed. I had a fine civics teacher at my high school in Bellaire, Texas in 1970. Yeah, I’m old, but the lessons learned have endured.
When all this is over, we need to pass a law that every state require at least half a year’s civics education in middle school or high school on the basics of the US Constitution. It’s terrifying how many Americans seem not to have a clue.
