When all this is over, we need to pass a law that every state require at least half a year’s civics education in middle school or high school on the basics of the US Constitution. It’s terrifying how many Americans seem not to have a clue.

Only if we include, in the class, that the constitution is an outdated document designed to keep rich white guys in power at the expense of democracy, and badly needs to be fully redone for our contemporary circumstances and knowledge.

No, I've read the Federalist Papers. Madison was quite clear that the U.S. Constitution was designed to limit democracy.

The Constitution was written at a time when there were few, if any, electoral governments around. Far before the overwhelming success of democracy in the 20th century. It is outdated.

The constitution needs to be more easily adapted to modern needs. The internet changed alot, and some changes are desperately needed but so difficult to make.
