When all this is over, we need to pass a law that every state require at least half a year’s civics education in middle school or high school on the basics of the US Constitution. It’s terrifying how many Americans seem not to have a clue.

At a minimum put back on Schoolhouse Rock "I'm Just A Bill Sitting On Capital Hill" and see if we can escalate up...from there.
And ALOT of them are on the Left...just sayin' Saying "they do it / did it too" is not an excuse either. I am as Ind / Middle as they come and the people who claim to be "open minded / forgiving / "for the people" are anything but that...open minded as long as you agree wit them

I have felt this way since @realDonaldTrump was elected. Some voted for Trump for personal gain and others for the party. No serious voter with the good of country in mind should have ever considered a vote for a loser like Trump. Most Republicans admitted he was unfit 4 office.

Marianne . . . I failed political science 2X in college, but have a Masters Degree. This presidential term has forced me to retain info even about the Congress, Senate, and House. I'm astonished that I'm so ignorant.

Clues are often overlooked, when minds are under the negative influence of fear, separation, competition and ego.

That only counts if they also study how to discern truth from lies in the media: FoxNews has its viewers convinced it's THEIR Constitutional rights being violated!

You know how many are clueless? Ask how many people know the primary aim of the Constitution was to prevent Parties from being the government. Almost no one in the US understands what the Constitution’s purpose was. Including those who would teach those classes.

Well said and I couldn't agree with you more.

Can we start with a law that anyone applying to be president must take class and pass a test verifying they understand the constitution?
