When all this is over, we need to pass a law that every state require at least half a year’s civics education in middle school or high school on the basics of the US Constitution. It’s terrifying how many Americans seem not to have a clue.

I thought they already did. One semester of civics is not enough at all. And a basic understanding of human rights needs to be taught at a much younger age. Civics and human rights should be taught throughout their entire academic experience.

So we already have that in Florida and you see how much good that is doing.... A 50 minute course once a day for three months isn’t going to fix what kids are learning in their homes. Super tired of people forgetting the role parents play in raising their young
